The Elder Group requests your help:
To all my colleagues, clients, and friends. It’s my pleasure to introduce you to a foundation that has touched my heart. As many of you know, I’ve been working with challenged children in several states across America. It’s been my mission to do my part and help these splendid youths achieve their potential.
The Four Oaks Foundation has thoroughly impressed me. Their staff is committed to these youths in such a meaningful way that it touched my heart. Clearly, this foundation is helping these young people matter in so many ways.
My request is that you take a look at all they provide and let’s all help them with whatever you can give so we all can help these splendid young people and their families know that there are people in the world who say “YES I CARE”! Let’s all do our part and make a difference for them.
In gratitude,
Andrew J. Elder, President & CEO

Achieving Success: The Jane Boyd Achievement Academy
One of the many ways Four Oaks assures success for kids and families is by partnering with our two affiliate organizations, Jane Boyd and the Affordable Housing Network. These partners enable us to expand the services we provide in both depth and geography. Together, Four Oaks, Jane Boyd, and the Affordable Housing Network make up the Four Oaks Family of Agencies.
Guided by Four Oaks’ TotalChild® approach, Jane Boyd’s services are family-centered and focused on enhancing the academic, emotional, and social well-being of children and families with programs focused on developing successful and productive adults.
Four Oaks’ TotalChild® approach addresses the key risk and protective factors across four domains including childhood basic needs, education & work, family, and community. The Jane Boyd Achievement Academy, which provides after-school programming during the school year and summer programming for children living in the Cedar Rapids Community School District, works to meet children’s basic childhood and educational needs.
Children enrolled in the Achievement Academy develop positive self-concepts, and social and problem-solving skills through a variety of programming including: Reading and Literacy Programs, Science Exploration, Social and Recreational Activities, Enrichment Activities through community partners, Field Trips “The Achievement Academy saved my boys. They related to the staff there and felt comfortable with them,” A mother of Achievement Academy youth said. “I don’t know what I would do without Jane Boyd. It is a permeant fixture in my life.”
